Who am I? Hotelier

Bay Leaf Cottages & Bistro

After retiring in 2010, a group of friends, my mother, and I purchased a bankrupt cottage and motel property in Maine along Penobscot Bay. It was like an HGTV DIY reno show. Lots to be done, lots to learn, and some really fun adventures. We took possession on May 4th and opened by Memorial Day! Planning and a great team of contractors made it happen (see info on our website about how we brought in Interior Design Students to redo the cottages as a class project). It was great!

We are located within Camden Hills State Park and offer a classic Maine experience. If you have ever wanted to try Innkeeping or living at a resort on the coast, call Century 21 Commercial Amy Barnard at 207-701-6560. I am ready to really retire and pass this gem of a property on to a new family/owner. If you want to stay with us in 2021, online reservations are open on our website.

There are 11 cottages, 9 water-view motel rooms, an apartment, a bistro, and water-view house built in 1865. There are 4 acres with space for campsites, a pavilion, or other growth opportunity.

Belfast Breeze Inn

Then in 2015, I bought a 100 year old sea captain’s home that had been converted to an Inn and Lodge. It too was bankrupt and needed an HGTV intervention which we did from January thru May and opened in June. There are 5 Inn rooms, 14 Lodge rooms, and a 2-bedroom apartment. There is a large commercial kitchen, dining space, bar and living room, deck, patio, parking, with 4 acres. There is plenty of space for wedding tents and events or campsites.
